The annual rate of inflation shown by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) is 1.9% for July 2014, up from 1.8% in June.
The annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Prices Index (RPI) increased slightly in July to 3.0%, up from 2.8% in June 2014.
Excluding housing costs, the annual rate of inflation shown by the RPI has again decreased now standing at 2.3% for July down from June’s figure of 2.4%.
